ACL Reconstruction With Quadriceps Soft Tissue Autograft Versus Bone-Patellar Tendon-Bone Autograft in Cutting and Pivoting Athletes: Outcomes at Minimum 2-Year Follow-up
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: The optimal graft choice for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR) in the high-level cutting and pivoting athlete remains controversial. Studies have shown similar outcomes when directly comparing bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) autograft versus quadriceps soft tissue (QST) general population. However, no studies compared these 2 grafts athletes participating sports. Hypothesis: It was hypothesized that, with BPTB autograft, QST would result patient-reported rates of retear, return to sport, complications. Study Design: Cohort study; Level evidence, 3. Methods: A retrospective review performed on sports (soccer, American football, lacrosse, basketball) who underwent primary ACLR either or chosen by between January 2015 2019. International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) subjective knee evaluation Lysholm Scoring Scale were used evaluate outcomes. Return-to-sport complication identified. Descriptive statistics expressed using Mann-Whitney test Student t continuous variables chi-square categorical variables. Results: total 68 (32 QST, 36 BPTB) included analysis. percentage follow-up 89% (32/36) group 86% (36/42) group. 2-year IKDC score (QST, 90.5 ± 6.6 vs BPTB, 89.7 7.8) 91.3 7.5 8.6) groups. able sport within period also (88% 83%; P = .63). There retears requiring revision (6%) ( .18). One contralateral ACL rupture occurred (3%) 4 (11%) .21). Conclusion: autografts demonstrated outcomes, return-to-sport rates, after at follow-up. Both appear be reliable consistent options athlete.

Femoral press-fit fixation in ACL reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft: results at 15 years follow-up
BACKGROUND If anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is to be performed, decision regarding graft choice and its fixation remains one of the most controversial. Multiple techniques for ACL reconstruction are available. To avoid disadvantages related to fixation devices, a hardware-free, press-fit ACL reconstruction technique was developed. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical...

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to analyze the clinical outcome of arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction with bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft versus allograft. METHODS Between May 2000 and June 2004, 172 patients undergoing arthroscopic bone-patellar tendon-bone ACL reconstruction were prospectively randomized into autograft (n = 86) or allograft (n = 86) grou...
متن کاملPatellar tendon ossification after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using bone – patellar tendon – bone autograft
BACKGROUND Among the various complications described in literature, the patellar tendon ossification is an uncommon occurrence in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using bone - patellar tendon - bone graft (BPTB). The heterotopic ossification is linked to knee traumatism, intramedullary nailing of the tibia and after partial patellectomy, but only two cases of this event linked to...
